Our construction company First One Developments (a property development, construction and investment business specialising in high quality commercial and residential developments), gives us a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw from. This allows a full and detailed understanding of all facets of the construction process.
Our People
Jim Ognenis – Director
Jim has an extensive career history in a vast array of industries including insurance, retail and building and construction. During this time, he worked in many different positions where he became skilled in many aspects of business.
He drew on his range of experience to open Interstruct Ceilings with Terry Georgiadis on 1999, a successful wall and ceiling business. In 2002 this business grew to include First One Developments where Jim is responsible for all the business operations and ensuring that all stakeholders’ needs are not only met but surpassed.
Terry Georgiadis – Director
Terry has spent his career in the Building and Construction industry working in a variety of roles, first as Project Manager and then as a qualified estimator. The opening of Interstruct Ceilings provided the opportunity to capitalise on his career, where his responsibilities include liaising with Site Supervisors, Builders, Employees, and Subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely completion of the Job. With Interstruct Ceilings providing fit out services, Terry can provide a unique service, understanding the project requirements from both a supplier and customer perspective.
Terrys expertise in wall and ceiling construction including light weight construction has given First One developments an edge over others in the construction industry. Terry has been responsible for the supervision of over $200M in walls and ceiling contracts over his career.
John Italiano – Project Manager / Director
John has worked in the property development industry since 2001 and brings an abundance of knowledge and expertise. He has successfully managed construction in commercial office, retail building, and residential building projects. He has also managed commercial fit outs and land subdivision projects. John’s specialises in internal partitions for high-rise apartments.
John’s practical and commercial expertise is evident in his approach to defining the best delivery strategies, value for money and construction management. His project and general management skills ensure a strong, practical and commercial focus at every stage of a project. John’s excellent communication skills give him the ability to understand Clients’ needs, find solutions to problems, and offer viable alternatives to make things happen.
Chris Georgiadis – Senior Estimator
Chris has been a part of the ceiling industry for the past 50 years, both running his own companies Westminster Ceilings and Complex Ceilings and supervising for various other companies through the years. Chris is the Chief Estimator for Interstruct Ceiling, a family business, and has brought a valuable service with his vast experience in the industry.
Nadia Donatelli – Accounts Manager
Nadia’s warm personality, her skills in accounts management and her way of managing the office are ingredients that come from 25 years of experience in office administration, 13 of these with Interstruct, ensuring smooth operation of the office.
